DAY 1
Hardap Dam Recreation Resort

We collect you from the International Airport "Hosea Kutako" in Windhoek of your LTU/Air Namibia flight. Afterwards we drive to Hardap
Dam, one of the few artificial lakes situated 15 km north of Mariental.
You have the afternoon at leisure to recover from your hard flight or to do an excursion/hiking trip through the national park with our safari guide, where you can see the first antelopes and zebras. You stay the night in bungalows in the national park.

Desert DAY 2
Namibia Desert National Park

After an extensive breakfast we travel east to the most famous landscape of Namibia, the red sand desert. We hike the impressive Sesriem canyon in the afternoon and climb the highest dune, Dune 45, where you get a breath-taking view about these bizarre formations.
Then we enjoy the sunset over the desert and end the day with a congenial dinner at the campfire. We stay in our safari tents on Sesriem campsite.

DAY 3
Namib Naukluft Nationalpark: Naukluft Mountains

We start very early in the morning and drive into the dunes to watch the unique light and shadow phenomenon in the dunes at sunrise. You visit Sossusvlei and Deadvlei; both pans are worldwide known because of their appearance in many films and in advertising.
After lunch, we travel to Naukluft Mountains where you can recover from the heat in the shadow of gigantic trees.
We stay the night in our safari tents on Naukluft campsite.

Namib Naukluft Nationalpark

We spend the entire day with long hiking excursions in this wonderful national park to become acquainted with the changing landscapes of the park and to watch the animals; or you can recover in the camp and enjoy the rest.
We stay in our safari tents on the campsite of the national park.

DAY 5
Namib Desert Park, Mirabib

On this day the ride goes on via the extremely bizarre Kuiseb-pass to the northern part of the Namib Desert Park. The wide plains which are disturbed by impressive rock constructions are characteristic for this landscape.
You explore the park and its very own, fascinating animals through long game drives and we stay the night in our tents beneath rock overhangs at Mirabib, a large granite inselberg. You can watch the sunset from the summit of this mountain with a breath-taking view about the infinite landscape.

DAY 6
Swakopmund

After a long and good breakfast we keep on going to Swakopmund, the most popular holiday destination in Namibia.
You have the afternoon at leisure to explore the town with his colonial-era buildings, to enjoy optional activities such as quad biking through the dunes or tandem parachuting or you can just watch the impressive sunset at the beach.
We stay in one of the numerous guest houses and dinner is on own expense in an excellent restaurant of your choice.

DAY 7
Seal colony "Cape Cross", Spitzkoppe

We depart early to Skeleton Coast Park to stop at Cape Cross, the best known and largest breeding colony of Cape fur seals along the Namibian coast. We watch thousands of these fascinating animals lying lazy in the sun or playing in the cold water.
Then we continue to the 1728 m-high Spitzkoppe, the so-called Matterhorn of Namibia, in southern Damaraland. We visit the rock engravings and climb the safeguarded parts of the mountain before we enjoy the unique sunset during a traditional dinner around the campfire.
We stay in our safari tents on the campsite next to the mountain. Please notice that here is NO flowing water and the facilities are very poor, but the place is unique and really pleasant.

Rock engravings at Brandberg (fire mountain) and in Twyfelfontein, Burned Mountain,
Organ Pipes, Aba Huab
After an early breakfast we drive to Brandberg and visit the "White Lady", which is the most famous of all rock engravings in Namibia and it is generally thought to be around 16000 years old.
In the afternoon we travel north to explore the most extensive galleries of rock art in Twyfelfontein, the Burned Mountain and the 4 m high Organ Pipes before we set up camp at the banks of the Aba Huab river in amazing landscape.

DAY 9
Petrified Forest, Palmwag Lodge (Desert elephants)

We start our day with a guided tour through the Petrified Forest and keep on going to Palmwag oasis. It lies amid stark red hills and wide plains in a surprisingly rich wildlife area, which is one of the last strongholds of the famous desert elephant.
In the afternoon you can explore the area on excellent hiking routes or you ask at the reception of the lodge for their game drives (optional activity).
We stay in our safari tents on the campsite of Palmwag Lodge.

Himbaoutjo DAY 10
Kaokoveld: Opuwo, Himba

After a rich breakfast we drive to Opuwo, which is the Kaokoveld "capital". We visit a nearby traditional Himba village and find out how this fascinating tribe copes with the hard living conditions and why their skin is smeared with a mixture of butter, ash and ochre.
You have the possibility to buy their extraordinary ochre-and-mud-encrusted iron, leather and shell jewelry and other handmade articles of the Himba.
We stay the night in our cosy safari tents on the campsite in Opuwo.

DAYS 11 and 12
Etosha National Park

Etosha is one of the best known national parks in Southern Africa and has the size of Switzerland. Every year thousands of visitors are impressed with the fascinating landscape as well as the unique variety of animals and birds. Watch the behaviour of the wild animals at one of the 30 water holes which are situated next to the 4590 square km large salt pan.
We spend both days in the national park and go along the dusty roads to visit the water holes and view points. You will have loads of time to enjoy the fascinating landscape, to watch the wild animals of Africa and to make amazing pictures. We stay the nights in a bungalow or flat in one of the national park camps dependent on bookings during the busy season.

Waterberg Plateau Mountain DAY 13
Waterberg National Park

After an early morning game drive we travel south to Lake Otjikoto, where you have the possibility to buy traditional African crafts. Our next stop is Tsumeb Museum before we make lunch at the cosy Mousebird Backpackers Lodge.
Then we continue our ride to Waterberg National Park. You have the afternoon at leisure to recover or you do an hiking excursion onto the plateau with our safari guide. We stay the night in bungalows directly at the foot of the plateau-mountain with a breath-taking view about the plain of the area.

DAY 14
Windhoek

After an extensive breakfast we drive to Okahandja where you have the possibility to buy hand-made wooden souvenirs on the largest craft market in Namibia before we return to Windhoek. In Namibia's capital you have the afternoon at leisure to wander down Post St Mall to see the Gibbeon meteorites or to shop for curios. We stay the night at a cosy guesthouse. Dinner is on own expense for example in Windhoek's famous restaurant "Joe's Bierhaus", where specialities as zebra, springbok or oryx are offered. Next morning we drop you off at the International Airport "Hosea Kutako" if your vacation in Namibia should be ended now.
